Shopping Centre Guide to Cardiff
Cardiff Shopping Centre guide aims to show you the best place to do your shopping if you like choice and the convenience of having everything in one place.
Fortunately for the shoppers, Cardiff shopping centres have continued to grow over the past few years, mainly due to the expansion of the St. David’s Shopping Centre. Involving a huge redevelopment of the southern end of the centre, St. David’s 2, as it was known, cost £675M and included a further 90 new shops alongside restaurants, cafes, residential apartments and a new central library. In 2010, St David’s was crowned the international shopping centre, an annual award judged by Global Retail Leisure International.
However, there are two other Cardiff shopping centres in close proximity to St. David’s which whilst not as large, provide an alternative shopping experience. Queens Arcade Shopping Centre & the Capitol Shopping Centre, which are both located in Queens Street, tend to offer a more of a localised way of shopping on a smaller scale with a number of independent shops and cafes complimenting the more well-known retailers and food outlets.
Here is a quick guide to the three main shopping centres in Cardiff with a brief summary of some of the shops available, details on car parking, opening times, contact telephone numbers and their location.
