Abergavenny Food Festival
Abergavenny Food Festival is a wonderful chance to see the best upcoming chefs in action, it’s also a great chance to taste some delicious offerings.
The Abergavenny Food Festival aims at celebrating the ‘craft’ of food-making, and focuses on the ‘diversity’ of food in Wales and throughout the world. The festival is an excuse to enjoy the social-side of eating, and meet some new people whilst doing so.
The 2012 event will take place on the weekend of 15/16 September, and despite the cold September evenings, the food will warm you through. The Observer Food Monthly has compared the importance of Abergavenny Food Festival to Cannes Film Festival, as the festival is becoming well-known for spotting future stars.
The event caters for children, as well as adults, and events are spread across various locations in the town, from 10:00am until 5:00pm each day. Accommodation in the town will be booked up early, with visitors travelling from all across the country, so book your spot for the Abergavenny Food Festival as far in advance as you can!
The event has an excellent website, listing the annual events and displays. Abergavenny Food Festival
