Best kebab shop in Wales for 2025
Best kebab shop in UK is a family run business offering people kebabs, pizzas, wraps and more has been crowned as one of the best kebab shops in the UK. Pizza Choice, on Countisbury Avenue, in Llanrumney, Cardiff claimed the top spot as the best kebab house in Wales at the British Kebab Awards 2025, which celebrates the efforts of local kebab takeaways and restaurants across the nation.
This year is not the first time the takeaway has been recognised, as they were also awarded the best kebab shop in Wales two years running in 2015 and 2016. Pizza Choice’s classic kebab house menu is clearly popular with its local customers, as the awards work on a voting system, meaning that people will have picked this place as their favourite, among some impressive competition.
Golden BBQ on Caerphilly Road in Cardiff was also named as being highly commended by the awards.
The menu at Pizza Choice contains a host of options, from pizza meal deals to chicken and spicy wings, and there is huge emphasis on quality at the business according to the owners, who say on their website: “We pride ourselves on using only the best quality ingredients and poultry products. We believe that buying high quality kebabs is the same as buying high quality burgers, pepperoni and many other selections of meat.”
“We have no doubt that our quality before profit business plan and investment in highly experienced staff have been the key point in our success, which has led to us being named the best British kebab shop in Wales two years running in 2015 2016.”
The awards have been running for over a decade and showcases a wide range of best kebab shops from across the UK. The 2025 event took place on Wednesday, February 26 at the Park Plaza Westminster Hotel in London.

Shawarma King in King Street, Glasgow, was named Best Kebab House in Scotland, with Memed Barbecue Grill Meze Bar, Newington, Edinburgh, highly commended. Kebab Company in Sunnyside Street, Belfast, was also named the Best Kebab House in Northern Ireland.
E.G Charcoal Grill in East Grinstead, West Sussex, won Best Delivery, with Botanik BBQ in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, being highly commended. Best Greek Restaurant and/or Takeaway was awarded to Fig Tree Grill in Potters Bar, Hertz. Tarla Restaurant – Turkish Meze Grill in Stevenage, Hertz, was named Best Kebab Restaurant Regional.
