Due to its location close to the city centre and Cardiff Prison, Cardiff Magistrates Court has good excellent transport links and is easily reached in a number of different ways.

 

By Road: By using the Cardiff Magistrates Court postcode CF24 0RZ in your SatNav, you will be taken directly to the venue in Adam Street. Alternatively, use postcode CF24 0EA to find your way to the closest pay and display car park. There are also signs on the approach roads or follow road signs to the Cardiff Royal Infirmary on Newport Street which is close by.

Parking: Public parking is available on adjacent roads to the court but some may require a parking voucher. Alternatively there is a multi-storey car park close to the  Magistrates Court and adjacent to the prison called the Knox Road Car Park, postcode CF24 0EA.

Open 24 hours, the car park is run by NCP and has 747 total spaces, with 20 space reserved for disabled bays. Charges are £4.50 for 2 hours, £7.50 between 2 & 4 hours, £10.50 between 4 & 6 hours, and £16.50 up to 24 hours. Payment can be made using cash, debit card and credit card.

Train: Cardiff Queen Street station is almost next door to the Magistrates Court and is only a 5 mins walk. Regular rail services are available from Cardiff Central, the main railway station in the city centre.

Bus: The majority of bus services in and out of the city centre pass by the Magistrates Court stopping in Newport Road or Adam Street. The venue has excellent facilities for members of public and those attending court.

There are full disabled facilities including toilets along with a hearing loop system and guide dogs are permitted.

On site there are also baby change areas, an interview room, youth court and Prison Video link capability, parking and a vending machine for hot and cold drinks.

There are interview rooms available at the court.

 

Cardiff Magistrates Court Opening Times

The court buildings are open between the hours of 9.00am until 5.00pm every week day. They are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and all bank and public holidays.
