
Your Annual Festival in South Wales
A summer of countryside fun in South Wales kicks off at the Royal Welsh Show in July and wound down in mid September when the Abergavenny Food Festival served up its final feast.
On the way, you can visit the National Eisteddfod, in the Vale of Glamorgan, the Caerphilly Big Cheese Festival and joined the hoards of music lovers at the Green Man Festival and Brecon Jazz Festivals in the beautiful Brecon Beacons and of course for book lovers the Hay on Wye Festival
There are lots of other local agricultural and horticultural shows and festivals occurring in and around Cardiff District and we will keep you updated as they come along. See our post at the bottom of this page.
What events are covered this summer
Royal Welsh Show. The 2025 Royal Welsh Show will take place from Monday 21st – Thursday 24th July.
Caerphilly Big Cheese Festival. The Caerphilly Cheese Festival is returning on Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st August 2025!
National Eisteddfod. The National Eisteddfod is the largest cultural festival in Europe, Join us in Wrecsam from 2-9 August 2025.
Brecon Jazz Festival The main Festival weekend will take place from 8th to 10th August 2025
Green Man Festival. The Green Man Festival is the 14th to 17th of August 2025
Abergavenny Food Festival. This year’s Festival takes place over the weekend of 20 & 21 Sept.
Hay on Wye Festival. Hay Festival is back 22 May–1 June
